Here are Some of Our Picks for Today
Hi everyone, I’m Syaz! I’m from Malaysia and just turned 23 over the weekend. My Steemit confirmation email came in the night before. So you could say it was a pretty sweet early birthday present. My introduction to this platform actually came from @bitrocker2020. I’ve been writing (mostly fiction) for over a decade now, so when I discovered Steemit it felt like an organic fit to my interests; the intersection of technology, culture, and the hybrid societies it creates. In the past I’ve attempted to blog sporadically, so here’s to hoping that writing on Steemit and interacting with the communities here would keep me motivated to do so 😛
As we know, this month is the month which Inktober is in progress. What is Inktober? Inktober is a drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. Its created by Jake Parker who is a comics short-story creator, concept artist, illustrator, and animator since 2009. His goal of creating this Inktober is to improves his inking skills addition to developing a positive drawing routine. It has 4 simple rules. No 1, make a drawing in ink. You can do a pencil under-drawing if you want. No 2, Post-it online. You can choose any social media account that you want to post it. No 3, hashtag it with #inktober and#inktober2018.. and the last one is to repeat the rules.
Last week , I attended at Tourism Stakeholder event. The event is all about putting forward issue face by the tourism industry. I have been in the tourism industry for years, and every time such meeting takes place , you tend to realised, that problem is never really solved. While it is important to highlight that the argument of the industry is very dynamic hence the reason why problem will never end, I can’t help but to also put it out there that, there is a lot can be done and can be solved if the political will is there as well as that the stakeholder are willing to come together and fix it.
